Home Nashville Predators Coach Peter Laviolette Selling $3.4M Florida Beach House
November 17, 2019
Nashville Predators coach Peter Laviolette is smack-dab in the middle of his sixth season as the team’s boss. The Preds have made the playoffs in each of his previous five seasons, and we imagine they’ll be in the thick of the hunt for the Stanley Cup again this season.
But Laviolette won’t be raising an off-season toast in 2020 at his Longboat Key, FL, retreat. He recently listed the fully remodeled Gulf Coast property for $3.4 million.
And “remodel” is a bit of an understatement. The 4,132-square-foot home underwent a complete transformation. A 2014 video of the home showcases a completely different (and dated!) residence. The main floor was fashioned with red-brown tile floors and columns all over the place. There’s also a metal spiral staircase not far from another staircase.
The main floor was the recipient of a stellar upgrade, with new wood floors throughout. Unnecessary columns and the spiral staircase are now gone. Add fresh paint and new crown molding and the result is an inviting space with a much better flow.
The rest of the house received a similar refresh. The kitchen has been fitted with custom cabinets and high-end appliances. There’s a wet bar with all of the accoutrements, and the four bedrooms and four bathrooms are plenty to accommodate family and friends.
The house has a definite beach aesthetic thanks to the paint colors of sea foam, sky blue, and white sand as well as a ton of natural light.
The third floor might be our favorite though. The Gulf Coast is known for its incredible sunsets, and the third floor has a widow’s walk ideal for sitting with friends and soaking up the unobstructed views.
Pool and spa
Outside, there’s a refinished pool and spa, and a private walk to the beach.
Laviolette led the Nashville Predators to the Stanley Cup finals in 2017, where they lost in six games to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Before his arrival in Nashville, he was the head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes, New York Islanders, and Philadelphia Flyers.
